Prescription Process

Step 1: Send the Prescription

Prescriptions may be sent to EpitomeRx through the following options:

  1. Electronic Prescribing
    Coming soon.
  2. Fax
Fax prescriptions to our secure fax line at 626.631.6151. We will call you during business hours to confirm receipt.

Step 2: Prescription Review

Once we receive the prescription, our pharmacists review the order for accuracy, formulation requirements, and ingredient availability. If clarification is needed, we will contact you promptly.

Step 3: Patient Contact

Our team contacts the patient to:

  • confirm prescription details
  • discuss pricing and payment
  • arrange shipping or pickup options

EpitomeRx operates as a cash-pay pharmacy, and payment is collected directly from the patient.

Step 4: Compounding & Quality Review

Each prescription is prepared in our compounding laboratory according to state and federal compounding standards. Every preparation undergoes a quality check before it is dispensed.

Step 5: Dispensing & Delivery

Fast turnaround times help patients start therapy sooner. Prescriptions received early in the day are often compounded and shipped the same day, subject to clinical review and preparation requirements.

For convenience, most prescriptions are shipped directly to patients’ homes. This allows patients to receive their customized medications quickly and discreetly without the need to travel to the pharmacy.

For patients located nearby, prescription pickup may be arranged when appropriate.

Pharmacist Collaboration

Our pharmacists are available to assist healthcare providers with formulation development, dosing questions, and alternative dosage forms. If you would like to discuss a compounded medication or explore customized options, please contact our pharmacy.
