Low Dose Naltrexone

Low Dose Naltrexone

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) has been the subject of growing clinical interest and ongoing research. Naltrexone is an FDA-approved medication that has traditionally been used at higher doses to treat opioid and alcohol dependence. When employed at much lower doses, it may exhibit different pharmacologic effects.

LDN therapy has been explored in clinical research for its potential effects on the immune system and inflammatory pathways. Healthcare providers may prescribe LDN as part of a broader treatment strategy for specific chronic health conditions.

Because commercially available naltrexone products are generally available only in higher strengths, compounding pharmacies can prepare patient-specific low-dose formulations pursuant to a healthcare provider's prescription.

At EpitomeRx, we collaborate with healthcare providers to prepare individualized LDN formulations based on each patient’s treatment plan.

  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Chronic pain conditions (fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome)
